“Local 140 posts 6 billboards as part of a public relations effort!”
Nashville, TN, 3/23/2009
Local 140 will be posting 6 different billboards throughout Davidson county beginning Monday 3/23/2009. They will be located at the following locations:
·1914 Charlotte Avenue
·501 Gallatin Avenue
·1303 South Dickerson Road
·864 Murfreesboro Road
·1815 Church Street
·3925 Lebanon Road
The billboards will have 6 different phrases followed by our web address. The intention of this public relations effort is to provide information pertaining to Local 140, possible budget cuts in the Fire Department, and education about fire safety. Once on our website you will be able to click on an image of the billboard and read the corresponding information.

Local 140 is an affiliate of the International Association of Fire Fighters. The objective of this Local is to elevate firefighting, emergency medical services, and all other services as related to the Metropolitan Nashville Fire Department as a profession, by fostering and encouraging a higher degree of skill and efficiency, by cultivation of friendship, fellowship, and cooperation among its members, public officials, members of governmental agencies, and citizens of our community, by the elevation and continual improvement of the members and fellow workers, by developing a harmonious relationship with other crafts and professions, by striving to maintain a good public relations program and activities at all times.
